I'm on macOS Sierra 10.12.5, and trying to add a library to the usr/lib folder (for an OpenFrameworks project I'm working on). I've seen similar questions here, here, and here. However, none of the suggested answers seem to have any effect. However the killall NotificationCentre command didn't work. To disable System Integrity Protection, run the following command: csrutil disable. If you decide you want to enable SIP later, return to the recovery environment and run the following command: csrutil enable. Restart your Mac and your new System Integrity Protection setting will take effect.
